Irving Police Athletic League (PAL) was incorporated in 1992 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization by volunteer police officers and private citizens. Goal of Irving PAL is to help "at-risk" kids develop self-esteem, discipline and mental courage through a structured program of physical activity and exposure to positive role models. Irving PAL is available to boys and girls, ages 8-18. Our programs are boxing, fitness, tennis, wrestling, soccer, basketball, and the "Urban Outdoors" program which includes archery, camping, fishing, hunting, kayaking, mountain biking and rock climbing.
Mission
The mission of the Irving Police Athletic League is to develop self-esteem, discipline and moral courage in at risk youth through a regimented program of physical fitness and exposure to positive role models in a nonthreatening atmosphere.
